There’s something for everyone at Brisbane Festival this year, including interactive events and activities for the whole family!
BOQ Festival Garden in South Bank is home to the Festival Hub and is chock full of family fun that will surprise and delight. Have a dance or sing a song with the roaming merrymakers, relax and be serenaded by the river, or get your craft on at Finchy Fun and Traditional Weaving workshops!
You can even catch one of the colourful and captivating shows at South Bank Piazza, boasting gravity-defying circus feats from Casus Circus, playful and groovy afternoon acrobatics with Flipside Circus, and interactive and immersive theatre for all children at Wilbur the Optical Whale.
Just around the river bend at Northshore, Hamilton you will find a dreamscape of wonderous inflatable art installations that engage and delight all senses as you wander through the luminous Sky Castle, and beguiling Airship Orchestra. Pay a visit to Northshore, Brisbane on Wednesday evenings when both of these interactive works are moored and open to the public.
To wrap up three incredible weeks of festival the Sunsuper Riverfire returns to ignite the Brisbane skyline. Experience one of the most electrifying displays in Australia, fired by Foti Fireworks from multiple bridges, barges and city rooftops. Ahead of the pyrotechnics the Australian Army and Royal Australian Air Force will demonstrate their flying prowess, with Army helicopter displays and the gravity-defying aerobatics of the Roulettes.
